resurfacing

"when life unravels, pick up your needles and knit something new"

Well, things most certainly have taken to unravelling of late and it's been a huge challenge.  Tho I knew it would come since last fall, it still is taking me time to mentally adjust.

Part of my way of dealing with this change was knitting - a lot. Ignoring most things around me (and neglecting my blog) I've picked up my needles anytime I was not at work and knit.

Then there was the arrival of my incredible adorable and cute nephew to distract me.

But in the back of my mind was alway the looming change.

I still cannot believe I am here now; the hinterlands of nowhere, instead of the bustling city life of Portland. I miss it terribly.

But I said I would give it a try.
And granted, it is GORGEOUS here.

Trying to stay positive, find new engagements, plan new explorations and try new patterns. Experiment more in the kitchen.
