I shopped around for yarn and settled on Miss Babs - Yowza in the 'Timberline' color way. I showed him several patterns on Ravelry and he picked 'Ziggy' by Georgie Hallam. After printing the what seems like dozens of pages of the pattern my first thought was 'I don't have enough yarn! What do I do?' According to the pattern I needed aprox. 260 yards more. So I took my ball if yarn to three different local yarn shops and tried to match it with something. Settling on a 'Dream in Color' hank. I also had some light tan Knitpicks gloss, with which I would accent the endging. I wish I would've found the yardage that other people used, because I used a lot less than the pattern called for.
I cast on and knit the sleeves first as suggested in the pattern, alternating each row with the two different yarns. A little awkward, next time I need to knit both at the same time, just makes life a lot easier.I like the way the zig-zags climb up the front and how nice and tightly the pattern fits. After washing and not really blocking it, it has gained some stretch and I need to open up the bottom hem to make it tighter. It flares out. Overall I am happy with it tho and will make it again.

I did not finish by the big day, but Kiddo consoled me by saying "I've already seen it. It's ok" however he loves it & wears it constantly.
I call it his Mount Hoodie, because he was obsessed with skiing by Timberline last winter and loved hiking the Zig-Zag canyon this summer on Mt. Hood. :)
